Recreational Music offers a wide spectrum of sound, insightful art, literature, and practices designed to stimulate the mind. The essence of being is vibration, what would we be without waves? Currently we are promoting “Songs for the Psyche” this album contains sounds and imagery, having to do with dreams and lucid dreaming.
These waves are conducive to the psychedelic experience, intended for recreational use Songs have been greatly influence by music from the classic rock era but not limited to such a narrow spectrum. Our unique sound is also influence by art forms such as Chinese brush painting, surrealism, classical music, insightful literature, yoga, meditation… not to mention the countless things that pass before our eyes.
"My friends there is a greater picture here, one may step back to observe, that witch may not be apparent so close at hand"
When we learn to step back and view the world from a distance. We begin to realize how trivial day to day worldly concerns truly are. Material thing lose their value, ignorance is no longer an obstacle, mortal affairs are of little consequence, and people or things, or thoughts that have frustrated us in the past, no longer have any power over you.
This is possible because we can learn to look beyond apparent surfaces and see the world through the eyes of an observer. Thus removing the individual - it is not the individual in itself, possessing intrinsic existence, but a small vantage point within the whole. The pond does not blame the wind for disturbing its still waters.
Recreational Music can easily be compared to Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Who, Nirvana, Ten Years After, Orbital, Radiohead, Tool... just to name a few. Please feel free to compare us to any artist you like. If you have any ideas, comparisons, suggestions, or feedback by all means contact us.

The cover art is a tunnel image that can help induce dreams and lucid dreaming. We canlook at this kind of image, as we prepare for sleep. This is one of the many things we can do to prepare to dream. This effort will help us become aware of our dreams, while in our dream state, and will also help us to remember and understand them later.
Thank you for supporting independent music!
